Wedding Website Must Haves
Creating a wedding website has become a standard part of wedding planning. In our World where most everything is online, wedding guests want easy access to details to be able to plan to attend weddings. Not only do these websites offer important information for wedding guests, they also offer a cute and creative way to display your love story and details about you and your fiancé as a couple.

- List hotel and transportation details.
Many of your guests will probably be traveling to your wedding from out of town. It’s important to offer hotel and transportation details online for your guests. Let them know how to get to and from the airport, as well as transportation details for your wedding day. Also list information about any hotel room blocks you have reserved for guests. Adding information about local restaurants and things to do in the area will make filling in gaps during your wedding weekend easy for your guests.
- Details about attire are a must.
If you are expecting guests to dress in certain attire, such as black tie or resort casual, you should list this information on your website.
- Inform guests of other wedding weekend events.
If you want guests to meet up after your rehearsal dinner, or are hosting a brunch the day after your wedding, these are all things you can list on your site. It’s an easy way to spread the word and will eliminate anyone feeling left out of other wedding weekend events that are open to everyone.
- Don’t offer an RSVP option online.
Many wedding websites offer online RSVP options, we suggest bypassing this. A formal addressed invitation in the mail allows guests to know who is invited, such as their entire family or if they can bring a plus one to your wedding. Online RSVPs may present more confusion for both you and your guests.
- Include your wedding registry.
It’s a big etiquette nono to list your registry information on wedding invitations. You also probably shouldn’t go around telling people where you are registered unless they ask. Listing your registries on your website is an acceptable and polite way to get the word out on where you would like gifts purchased from.
