Personal songs matter.
Many of our couples put a lot of thought and effort into their wedding music selections. We have found that most of our couples try to incorporate meaningful music into their wedding ceremonies. That’s why when we are asked for wedding ceremony music song suggestions, we encourage personal selections. Heartfelt songs that have a personal meaning to the bride and groom are always sweet to include in a wedding ceremony.
Officiant restrictions.
Often times for couples getting married at a church there are restrictions for wedding music. Conservative churches may only allow couples to choose songs from a pre-selected music list. Some officiants may only allow a wedding ceremony to include religious music. As wedding DJs, we are here to help our couples compile their wedding ceremony music lists.
Mix it up.
There are no set rules when choosing wedding ceremony music. We have DJ’d at weddings that only have ceremony music from the same genre or time period. We’ve also DJ’d at weddings that incorporate a mix of music into a wedding ceremony – classical, jazz and pop. Some of our favorite arrangements are from the Brooklyn Duo, Vitamin String Quartet or Piano Guys.Whichever musical selections feel right to you and your fiancé will be the right choices for your ceremony.
