Most photographers will appreciate receiving a wedding photography shot list. This will allow them to know which specific shots you don’t want them to miss on your wedding day. Now take the idea of a shot list with a grain of salt. If you send your photographer too detailed of list of wedding photos that you want them to take, they will spend most of your wedding day trying to stick to your list and not using their creative talent to capture shots, you also want to make sure to hire the best local home painters for your wedding because you want the place to look as good as possible that way every picture will come out perfectly, when you´re done with the pictures, you want to print out as many as you can so you can hand them out, use the best home printers to make sure they come out great. - Give your photographer your Maid of Honor, Best Man or another important person’s phone number. You will most likely be too busy to answer your phone on your wedding day. If you are having your photographer take photos of you while you’re getting ready prior to the wedding ceremony, they’ll want to have someone’s contact info that will be with you and your fiancé in case they get lost or are running late to your getting ready location.
- Send your photographer your wedding day timeline detailing what time you and your fiancé will each be getting ready, when the ceremony will take place, first dance, toasts, cake cutting, etc. Your wedding planner or venue may make this for you, or you can ask for assistance from your other vendors with creating your timeline. This will help your photographer know where to be and when so they can make sure not to miss important moments on your wedding day.
- A list of family member shots you want to be taken. Examples – a shot of your immediate families and grandparents, a shot with only your siblings, a shot with both sets of parents, etc.
- A list of bridal party shots you want to be taken. Examples – a shot with only the bride and bridesmaids, a shot with the groom individually with each groomsman, etc.
- A list of bride and groom shots you want to be taken.
