What is a blusher?

A blusher is a piece of tulle that can be added to a veil. It’s worn laying over the bride’s face as she walks down the aisle. Traditionally, the Father of the Bride or the Groom will “unveil” the bride by removing the blusher from her face during the wedding ceremony.

How will I know which veil will compliment my wedding dress?

We suggest having the stylist at your wedding dress store help select your veil. They see brides in dresses and veils everyday and will know what does and doesn’t look right together. If you’re wearing a simple wedding gown, you have more freedom to have a veil embellished with crystals and beading. If you have chosen a dress with a statement back, a chic and simple veil will look best. If a dress with a long train in your future, then a cathedral length veil will look most dramatic.

Which hairstyle will look best with my wedding veil?

You should consider your wedding day hairstyle options before selecting your veil. If you want to wear your hair down, a veil that is pinned at the top of your head will look best. If you’re going to wear an updo hairstyle, a shoulder length veil should be avoided. Our recommendation is bring your wedding veil with you to your hair trial appointment so you can make sure your hair and veil will compliment one another.
