Q&A with APB
We flex our style to accommodate the feel and flow of your event. From laid-back to formal events, we’re the picture of class. We wouldn’t dream of embarrassing you with tacky attire, deafening volumes, rolling fog, or inflatable props. We won’t drink, pilfer appetizers, or make off with a slice of your wedding cake, either. We arrive on time, dressed appropriately, ready to work. We strive for a flawless celebration, complete with a packed dance floor.
Our customer service is second to none. We promise to give you prompt, personal attention throughout the process. We return all emails and phone calls as quickly as possible, providing honest, straightforward answers to any questions you may have.
Unlike most DJ’s we don’t offer standard packages. Instead, we put the power to choose in your hands. Select from a variety of options to build the perfect package for your event. We’ll work together within the bounds of your budget to create a celebration you’ll be thrilled with.
The NY Tri-State area, Hudson Valley, CT and NJ. If you’re planning a destination wedding outside our coverage area, we’re more than happy to discuss possibilities with you.
The DJ you meet with during preparations will be the DJ/MC who will show up on your wedding day. No surprises. Unlike other DJ companies we do not hire subcontractors. Our DJs work exclusively for our company and are trained by us.
We’re happy to offer “courtesy holds” on dates for 4 business days after meeting in-person or speaking by phone. If you still need a little more time to decide, just let us know. (contact info here)
Definitely. We feel it’s a necessity to get to know one another a bit before we begin putting together your celebration. It’s important for us to get familiar with your personal style and your vision for the event. We prefer to meet in person, but know that’s not always feasible. We can also connect via Skype, FaceTime or chat by phone. Whatever is most convenient for you.
We clean up nicely. Your DJ will arrive dressed professionally in a suit and tie. For black tie events, a tux. We don’t even own any baby blue ruffled shirt tuxes, so no worries there.
Yes. Many of our couples come to us not only with a playlist, but with a “do not play” list.
- If you’ve got any ‘must-plays’, count on hearing them at your event.
- If your ears start burning when you hear particular tune, just let us know and we’ll forget the song even exists on that day.
- If you’re not into line dances (ahem, Macarena, Chicken Dance, and YMCA, we’re talking to you) then we won’t play them.
We’re here to help every step of the way. We’ll guide you throughout the process and make suggestions. If you need some inspiration, take a peek at some of our past wedding playlists, right here.
We’ve got an extensive library of music to choose from. Chances are, if you want it, we’ve got it. In the event we don’t have your song, we’ll go out and get it for you. If you’ve got any personal favorites in your own collection that you’d like to supply to us, we’re happy to play those as well. This may include unique versions, variations, or covers.
Absolutely! We have done Jewish, Greek, Serbian, Liberian, Italian, Spanish, Irish, Persian, and German weddings. Some of our DJs are fluent in Spanish.
Never. We promise not to hang any banners or signage to showcase our company at your wedding.
We try to keep ourselves out of the spotlight, while maintaining a constant presence. The day is about you, not us. All speaking on the microphone is professional, tasteful and kept to a minimum (formal introduction, announcements, formal dances, cake cutting, etc).
We wouldn’t dream of coming without it. In this business, silence is rarely golden. So, in the unlikely event that something malfunctions or isn’t cooperating, we’ve got you covered.
Yes! We carry a $2,000,000 liability insurance as well as worker’s compensation.
